At LEAP... every moment is a learning experience.

What is the philosophy behind LEAP?

LEAP School has adapted an approach engineered by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) of the United States. Developmentally Appropriate Practice or DAP is an approach which is focus on working with young children based on their age, individual character and socio-cultural background. Decisions in curriculum are therefore strongly guided by child development knowledge. The child's interests and overall development are paramount to the program.

Our curriculum draws on the best practices of early childhood education and gives equal importance to all areas of development: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, language & communication. LEAP advocates play as the child’s natural avenue for learning. The curriculum is designed and implemented by a team of professionals from the fields of early childhood education and psychology.

What are our goals for your children?

  • To become lifelong learners…independent, confident, creative problem solvers, and critical thinkers
  • To maximize early learning for all children through a carefully planned curriculum, teacher-directed activities, and meaningful child-initiated experiences
  • To develop strong literacy skills and communicative competence; and
  • To foster positive peer relationships and cultivate social awareness in the community.

At LEAP, our  goal is to develop a well-rounded child by bringing together the balance of a well-crafted developmentally centered curriculum delivered by highly qualified teachers. Our focus is to create a stimulating and safe environment and to involve families in the education of their child even after their time at LEAP.
